Pakistan State Oil — EV Charging

Pakistan's largest EV charging network

Pakistan State Oil (PSO) operates the largest public EV charging network in Pakistan, with DC fast charging and AC Type 2 stations at PSO petrol stations across every major city and motorway. PSO's EV charging infrastructure is built on the backbone of its 3,500+ petrol station network — giving it unmatched geographic reach from Karachi to Peshawar and on all major motorways including M-1, M-2, M-3, M-4, M-5, and M-9. PSO stations use CCS2 connectors for DC fast charging (50–60kW) and Type 2 for AC. Most PSO EV charging points operate 24 hours, making PSO the go-to choice for long-distance EV travellers and overnight charging stops.

PSO EV Charging — FAQ

How do I find PSO EV charging stations?
PSO EV charging stations are located at PSO petrol stations across Pakistan. Use the Charging Station Radar map to filter by PSO network, or look for the green EV charging signage at any PSO petrol station. PSO has charging at most major highway interchanges and city locations.
What connectors do PSO EV chargers use?
PSO DC fast chargers use CCS2 connectors, compatible with BYD Atto 3, MG ZS EV, Changan Uni-V, and most international EVs. PSO AC chargers use Type 2 connectors. Select stations also have GB/T connectors for Chinese-specification EVs — confirm availability before visiting.
How much does PSO EV charging cost?
PSO charges approximately Rs 110–120/kWh across its network, with some variation by location. A full charge for a BYD Atto 3 (60kWh battery) costs approximately Rs 6,600–7,200. This is 50–60% cheaper per kilometre than petrol at current fuel prices.
Is PSO EV charging 24 hours?
Most PSO motorway service area chargers operate 24 hours. City PSO stations generally operate during petrol station hours (6 AM–12 AM or 24hr depending on location). The Bhera M-2 Service Area and Multan M-4/M-5 interchange PSO chargers are confirmed 24-hour.
Which PSO station has the fastest charger?
PSO DC fast chargers operate at 50–60kW, providing 0–80% charge in approximately 35–50 minutes. PSO does not currently operate ultra-high-speed chargers (>100kW) — for faster charging, Shell Recharge (180kW in Karachi) or Attock Petroleum (180kW in Rawalpindi) offer higher-speed options.
